Prayer (COVID-19 arrangements)
Weekly prayer topics are distributed in hard copy and by email to members of the congregation along with a weekly thought by our minister, Peter. If you are not receiving it and would like it please contact John Hodge at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07850 772223.
We have now decided to increase the frequency of our usual Saturday Prayer meeting to once every fortnight. The next one is on Saturday 9th May 2020 at 8.30am. Please contact John Hodge (details above) if you wish the link to be able to attend it.
The power of prayer
We believe that prayer brings us closer to God, and is powerful and effective, whether it’s a simple quiet prayer alone, or in a prayer shared in a group. God hears and God cares.
Request prayer support
Whatever your situation, whether you have a strong faith or none, we would be very happy to pray for you. If you would like to request our prayer team’s support, please email email@example.com. You can also request the support of our pastoral care team, who can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information on pastoral care, please visit our Pastoral Care section.
Praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! The Father is a merciful God, who always gives us comfort. He comforts us when we are in trouble, so that we can share that same comfort with others in trouble. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
We have a monthly prayer calendar allowing all who join in worship at Newhaven to spend a moment or two every day in a practical way supporting the needs of others. This is available by following the link to our publications page.
