Sermon on Transcending Self-Absorption- 19th November 2018

Readings:

Genesis 1:26-27

Mark 8:34-37

In this sermon Rev Peter Bluett reflected on some of the stories surrounding Black Friday and the injuries and deaths which have occurred over the years. He spoke about the gift to humanity of the image of God and how we might transcend the self-absorption which can occasionally lead people to treat each other as adversaries, as Cain did his brother Abel, rather than image bearers.
