Last Sunday night on the 10th of February, Matt Redman – a songwriter whose songs we sing quite a bit of at Newhaven – won two Grammy awards! He won them both for his song ‘10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)’ which he co-wrote with Jonas Myrin in 2011. It’s a beautiful song. The song won in the categories of Best Contemporary Christian Music Song and Best Gospel/Christian Contemporary Music Performance. (The award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Song was also a tie with ‘Your Presence is Heaven’ written by Israel Houghton and Micah Massey.)
