In this Remembrance Sunday Sermon, Rev Peter Bluett told the inspiring story of the German PoW and footballer, Bernhard Trautmann. He looked at the challenges Trautmann faced living in Britain after the Second World War and spoke of the love and support he received from some of those around him who were able to forgive their enemies.

Practising Presence- Sermon 27th Oct 2019

In this sermon Rev Bluett asks how we might experience the presence of God in times of difficulty and illness, exploring what the presence of God involves as we pass through the darkest valley. He offers insight into how we might actively seek the presence of God at all times through contemplative practices.

Faith Alone- Sermon 20th October 2019

Romans 3:21-31

In this sermon Rev. Bluett considers the term coined by Martin Luther, ‘by faith alone’. He looks at the ways the New Testament verses by Paul, about faith, have been translated throughout history and the impact of Luther’s reading of the original Greek word. He then explores the practical impact of the different understandings in the lives of believers.
