We hope you can join us for our second ever Messy Church as we look at what it means to Love Our Neighbour. All are welcome. Dinner will be served as part of our time together. RSVP not necessary, but a wee note with any food allergies in advance can help the catering team. Email. email@example.com.
In amidst the warm Saturday sunshine was the crunching and smell of autumn leaves. There is something beautiful about Edinburgh as the seasons change, in the dying back of the leaves and trees moving into a state of dormancy, we get such beauty of vivid colours and delicious fruit to eat. Come celebrate God’s creation with us on Sunday 6th October starting at 10:30am and ponder a bit about Tearfund’s theme ‘Less is More.’ At our all-age service this day we will be taking a dry goods collection for the Northeast Edinburgh foodbank, our annual offering for Tearfund, and our annual big bake will occur with the theme ‘5 ingredients or less’ just after the service alongside brunch! Do bring containers if you wish to take baking away. Please see the fliers below for full details.
Our Annual Report for 2018 is now available. You can download a digital copy by clicking on the link below.
There will be a congregational meeting on the evening of Monday 13th May when the report will be discussed. Further details will be posted soon but please note the date in your diaries!
Newhaven Church Connections Café will be hosting an Easter art exhibition from the 2nd-30th April. We are looking for paintings, drawing, and photographs that illustrate the following themes: Hope, Resurrection, Redemption, and Faith. Items may be priced so sell, although they do not need to be. Items must be framed and must be labelled with the artist and category on the back. You are welcome to submit up to three items. Please contact Cassie.Abousamak@gmail.com if you wish to display your work in this exhibition.
The Annual Stated Meeting will take place directly after morning service on Sunday 17th March 2019. This year the format will differ slightly from previous years. The annual accounts will be received on the 17th but a separate meeting, to be fixed, will look at both the annual report of the church’s activities and vision for the future.
Copies of the accounts are now available from the church foyer.
