Sermon on the Parable of the Prodigal and his Brother- 29th October 2017

Reading:

Luke 15:11-32

Today, Rev. Peter Bluett looked at the much loved parable of the Prodigal and his Brother. Deliberately eschewing an allegorical reading, he explored what a Jewish audience at the time the story was told would have understood about its characters and their actions, and how we might understand the point that Jesus was making in light of that.
