We are looking forward to our Harvest Service this Sunday the 6th of October at 10:30am. We will look at Jesus Feeding the 5,000 and think about the contribution we make towards the stewardship our world through art, discussion, drama, & quiet reflection. We will be taking up our dry goods collection for the Northeast Edinburgh Food Bank on Sunday; our collection for Tearfund during the service; & have our Big Bake at the end of the service during brunch! We look forward to seeing you there!
In amidst the warm Saturday sunshine was the crunching and smell of autumn leaves. There is something beautiful about Edinburgh as the seasons change, in the dying back of the leaves and trees moving into a state of dormancy, we get such beauty of vivid colours and delicious fruit to eat. Come celebrate God’s creation with us on Sunday 6th October starting at 10:30am and ponder a bit about Tearfund’s theme ‘Less is More.’ At our all-age service this day we will be taking a dry goods collection for the Northeast Edinburgh foodbank, our annual offering for Tearfund, and our annual big bake will occur with the theme ‘5 ingredients or less’ just after the service alongside brunch! Do bring containers if you wish to take baking away. Please see the fliers below for full details.

The astute among you may have picked up that we missed out a week of Sunday Connections. My apologies for this as it was quite a full week. On Sunday, we looked at Esther in our all age service. We will have a short Sunday Connection this week below.
To Think Together: Esther was a women of courage, who had to trust in God to bring her through a scary situation. What does it look like to be a person of courage as a Christian in 2019 in Scotland? How about in Iran or North Korea?
Word Wall: Across the week, think of some positive attributes about your children and teens, add these to there door or other place they will see on post it notes. What were Esther’s positive attributes? Thank God for the way he has made each and every one of us.
