In light of the most recent guidance on COVID-19 from the UK and Scottish Governments that all non-essential social contact should be avoided, it is with much regret that we announce that all scheduled activities at Newhaven Church will stop for the foreseeable future.

This means that Newhaven Connections Café will not open and there will be no Church services (either on a Sunday morning or Messy Church). No other scheduled activities, meetings or gatherings will take place at the Church, including Toddlers, the Haven, the Wednesday evening Bible Study group, BB groups and all other hall hires.

We recognise the significant impact the loss of these activities will mean for many in our community and so we are taking the following steps.

  • We will replace our Sunday morning service with a podcast from our Minister, Rev Peter Bluett, which we will aim to post on our website by 10.30 a.m. each Sunday morning. We encourage everyone who would normally come to Church to be joined in the Spirit at that time by either listening to the podcast or, if not able to do so, having their own time of worship and prayer.
  • We will be putting other communications in place for our young people and also for those who have no internet access.
  • We want to be able to serve those in our community who are in need of care at this time and so if we can help you, or if you know someone in need, please get in touch with Peter ( or with John our Session Clerk (0131 552 4339, Likewise, if you are able to help with serving those in our community at this time please get in touch with Peter or John.

Newhaven Church Inflatables Day 14.03.2020

Newhaven Church Inflatables Day is in just over 4 weeks time on 14th March 2020. We are excited to welcome you back for this fun and exciting day. Full details and booking can be done online HERE; however, we ask that you post or hand deliver your payment to the church as we did not want people to incur a 90p booking fee per ticket! Messy Church 24.01.2020

We will be having our monthly Messy Church Friday 24th January 2020 from 5:30pm-7:30pm at the church, 7 Craighall Road. We will begin our time together with dinner before exploring the Bible together with all ages and stages of life across various crafts, game, songs, and creative reflection.

This month we will be learning about Zaccheaus meeting Jesus. All are welcome. We are happy to cater to dietary needs, if possible, an email in advance to is always appreciated so that we can make sure we have something suitable.
